"The dictionary defines a family as “any group of persons closely related by blood” but GRV redefines my definition of a family. GRV offers a mother’s guiding touch, father’s discipline, sibling companionship, and overall support. The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life.
In truth a family is what you make it. It is made strong, not by number of heads counted at the dinner table, but by the rituals you help family members create, by the memories you share, by the commitment of time, care, and love you show to one another, and by the hopes for the future you have as individuals and as a unit.
Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a dance team, call it a family: Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one. Thank you for being mine for you have touched my heart and changed my life."
Also, it's an incredible comforting feeling to know that whatever goes wrong, or whenever one of life's downs comes around, or things just don't work out as planned... that I can deal.
