Mel, you will be remembered.

i was just congratulating you for graduating from ucla, excited about your new endeavors into law school. i still have the thank you cards you've given me from highschool. our bio group was just laughing about your penske nickname, i really don't remember why i gave you that stupid nickname. i was just looking at your facebook pictures to see what you were up to. i was just thinking to myself, this girl is amazing and beautiful inside & out. and i just found out you've left us.

Too young, too beautiful, too soon. I have so many memories with you and I'm shocked we'll never be able to make more. I know we've drifted apart since highschool but I hope you know what an amazing person you are and how highly I thought of you. you were one of the smartest, most dedicated and fun loving girls i knew, a beautiful balance and a force to reckon with. There's no doubt in my mind that you've touched the hearts of many. You have a beautiful soul and hope you may forever rest in peace. My condolences to your family, please watch over us.

I love you girl and I'm so proud of all you accomplished in this short amount of time.

  1. To Jaxx,
I am sorry for your loss.
I am a reporter with the Santa Monica Daily Press and am putting together a story on the accident and the passing of Ms. Del Aguila. I am trying to get in contact with those who knew her so that I can learn more about her for the story. If you can help, please call our office at 310 458 -7737 and ask to speak with Kevin Herrera.

    Thank you,

    Kevin

  3. Dear Jaxx,

I am so sorry for your loss. I apologize for bothering you, but like Keith and Kurt, I was wondering if it would be okay for the UCLA Daily Bruin to republish these photos as well (with credit, of course). I'm a senior reporter working on a story about Melissa's passing away to get the news to students. If it's alright with you, please let me know. My email is kzhou@media.ucla.edu and I can be reached at 310-206-0904.

    Thank you,
    Kelly

  4. i know internet blogs aren't a great place to keep private things private. but this is a place for me to vent and i had no expectation to have any of this material reproduced. i'm sorry i can't help you but its a delicate situation and i don't want to upset the family in any way by republishing private photos. thank you for your concern and cooperation.
